Education & Programs
Our new Grow Outside initiative took shape as our education coordinator began to introduce a number of creative and engaging youth programs this year. Our Tools for Teachers curriculum guide turned the Gardens into a living classroom. By year’s end we chose to become a satellite partner of the Fairchild Challenge, an award-winning program founded by the Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden. And we kept the Gardens lively in the off-season months with innovative programs like Discovery Days, Bark Tower Gardens Dog Day of Summer, a Summer Film Series and a Kids Photography Contest.
